Getting Started with Your Enshrouded Server

Ready to survive in Embervale's shroud-covered world? Here's how to set up the server.

1. Find your server

Go to My Services and open your Enshrouded server to see the console, files, and settings.

2. Adjust server settings

Under Files you'll find enshrouded_server.json, where you can change:

• name — the server name shown in the server list
• password — optional password
• slotCount — maximum number of players

3. Start the server

Click Start. The first boot typically takes a couple of minutes.

4. Connect to the server

Open Enshrouded, go to Multiplayer → Join by IP, and enter your server's IP address and port from the control panel. Players can also join directly via a Steam invite if you're friends on Steam.

Tips

• Enable automatic backups of your world before taking on big bosses.
• Restart the server after changes to enshrouded_server.json so the settings take effect.
• Keep the server updated — Enshrouded receives frequent updates, and you can update via the Startup tab.
