Cookies and Tracking

Potionhost uses localStorage, sessionStorage, and cookies to improve the user experience. For analytics we run our own self-hosted Matomo — all data stays on our servers and is never shared with third parties. Matomo records technical information such as IP address, browser type, screen resolution, and language, used only to improve the site. If you do not accept cookies, the data is stored briefly and without a persistent identifier.

If you arrive via a partner's referral link, the partner's referral code may be stored in a cookie for 30 days so they can receive commission for any purchase you make during that period. This cookie is only set if you have granted marketing consent.

We load Google Tag Manager to manage marketing and analytics tags (including Google Analytics and Google Ads). These tags only activate after you accept cookies via our consent banner, and use Google Consent Mode v2 to respect your choice.

We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service with no persistent identifiers. It only collects aggregated traffic statistics and does not require consent.
