Getting Started with Your American Truck Simulator Server

How to set up your American Truck Simulator server and invite your friends into the convoy.

Getting Started with Your American Truck Simulator Server

Ready to cross the US in convoy with your friends? Here is how to get your American Truck Simulator server running.

1. Find your server in the control panel

Go to My Services and open your American Truck Simulator server. You will land on the console tab, where you can follow the server status and logs.

2. Configure the convoy settings

Under Startup you can set basic options such as the server name, password, and maximum number of players in the convoy. Save the changes and restart the server for them to take effect.

3. Start the server

Click Start in the console. The server is typically ready within about a minute.

4. Connect to the server

Open American Truck Simulator, go to the Multiplayer tab in the main menu, and choose Direct Connect. Enter your server's IP address and port - both are shown at the top of the control panel.

Tips

  • Set a password on the convoy under Startup if you only want to play with specific friends.
  • All players in the convoy need to run the same game version and have the same DLCs/states enabled to connect.
  • Use the Files tab to back up your configuration so you can quickly recreate the same setup later.
