Multiverse Core - Run Multiple Worlds on Your Minecraft Server

Learn how to install and use Multiverse Core to create, switch between, and delete worlds on your server without restarting.

Multiverse Core - Run Multiple Worlds on Your Minecraft Server

Multiverse Core is a Minecraft server plugin that lets you run multiple worlds at the same time. You can switch between them without restarting the server.

Note: Multiverse Core is not the same as BungeeCord. All worlds on your server share the same plugins - if you need to isolate plugins per world, you'll need separate servers running through BungeeCord.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin from SpigotMC
  2. Place the .jar file in your server's plugins/ folder
  3. Restart the server - Multiverse Core is now active

Create a New World

/mv create

Choose one of the following world types: Normal, Nether or End

Example Command
Regular world /mv create yourwold Normal
Flat world /mv create yourwold Normal -t flat
World with specific seed /mv create yourwold Normal -s 54847172733

Once the server prints "Complete!" the world is ready. List all your worlds with /mv list.

Switch World

Use the command below to teleport yourself to another world:

/mv tp

Tip: Regular players cannot use /mv tp by default. Install Multiverse Portals and create portals so players can move between worlds themselves.

Delete a World

/mv delete

You have 10 seconds to confirm:

/mvconfirm
